The town of Bradenton Beach approved a new Sunday outdoor market to be featured at The Gulf Drive Cafe.  Although many objected to the new enterprise, the Town Council allowed a 60 day permit to operate.  Continued operation after the 60 day period is conditional upon the control of alcohol consumption.  To accomplish this, the Town Council mandated that the owner of Gulf Drive Cafe hire two police officers.  20-30 vendors are expected to join the market which will run from 9AM to 3PM every Sunday.
